  • Dr. Stein completely changed my life. I am happier and healthier both mentally and physically than I have ever been. I have never had a doctor as committed to helping his patients as Dr. Stein.
  • I’ve been in therapy off and on for years and was pretty skeptical that this would work, but I had a coworker recommend Anxiety Solutions to me so I figured I’d give them a shot. The approach was so different than all other anxiety treatments I’ve tried, and it was amazing. I had less than 10 sessions, and I felt like a different person. It’s still holding months later, too. I cannot thank Anxiety Solutions enough!
  • As someone who has dealt with OCD for a long time, the therapy I received was truly life-changing.  I’m so grateful to have my life (and brain!) back, and would highly recommend Anxiety Solutions to anyone experiencing anxiety of any type and/or OCD.
  • Beyond the therapy itself, I’ve found it super easy to deal with all the administrative items that can all too easily ruin a good therapy practice. All the administrative aspects are super easy, from scheduling to online appointments (thanks, COVID) to billing. When you’re dealing with anxiety, this makes a huge difference.
  • Dr. Michael Stein is the best therapist I’ve ever had. He helped my OCD and anxiety issues tremendously, and I highly recommend him to anyone that is seeking relief from OCD and anxiety in their daily life and relationships.
  • The active approach taken was very effective and had immediate positive impacts on my anxiety. I am now able to live more in the moment and not spend the majority of my time worrying. All of my expectations were exceeded.
  • I have struggled with treatment-resistant OCD for 20 years. After only a few months of work, I am now free. Dr. Stein is the best and most caring therapist I have had.
  • Week by week I found my OCD and anxieties slowly fade and ultimately made a full recovery to my normal self. The thing I liked most about Dr. Stein was I felt he truly understood my OCD/anxious mind.
  • Coming to Anxiety Solutions was life-changing for me. My anxiety symptoms drastically lessened and over time they have nearly disappeared entirely.
  • One of the best decisions in my life was deciding to go with Anxiety Solutions of Denver!

Tom’s Success Story:

From Non-Stop Worry to Finally Being Able to Enjoy Life

Tom had always been a worrier.

He worried all the time about his job performance, his relationship with his girlfriend, his finances…even if he felt ok about one thing, his mind would always come up with something else for him to worry about. It took him forever to make decisions.  He felt like he needed to be certain about everything.

Even if he could get himself reassured about one thing, his mind would always bring up another worry. He felt anxious pretty much all the time.

Eventually, Tom realized he needed a specialist in therapy for anxiety. He heard about Anxiety Solutions of Denver’s unique approach to counseling for generalized anxiety and decided to give it a try.

Using the skills we showed him in therapy, Tom got much better at pushing his worry off and ending the worry cycle instead of obsessing on things. After a few sessions, Tom was feeling less worried and his anxiety subsided.  He said he felt like he was finally starting to enjoy life again.

Amy’s Success Story:

From Severe Panic Attacks Crippling Her Life to Being Panic-Free

Amy suffered from intense panic attacks. She would go through episodes where her heart would start to race rapidly and she felt like she couldn’t breathe.

She worried that an attack could make her pass out, or maybe even kill her.  She went to the doctor and even the ER. But every time, the doctors would tell her she was perfectly healthy. This just led to even more confusion.

Amy became so afraid of the panic attacks that they took over her life. She shut down, avoiding situations she knew might cause her to panic. Her life became much smaller than before.

One of Amy’s doctors suggested that it might be anxiety, and sent her to see Anxiety Solutions of Denver for help.

After several counseling sessions with us, Amy’s panic attacks stopped.

Amy was so relieved to finally understand her panic attacks and know what to do about them. She successfully implemented the strategies we showed her and was amazed at how well they worked.

She got back to living her full, normal life, free from the crippling anxiety. She said she finally felt like herself again.

Meet Our Team Of Anxiety Specialists

Dr. Michael Stein, OCD and anxiety therapist serving Denver, Colorado

Dr. Michael Stein, Psy.D.

I am an anxiety and OCD therapist in Denver.  I founded Anxiety Solutions in 2010.  I am also one of Psychology Today’s official expert contributors on anxiety and OCD.  I write a blog for Psychology Today’s website, Understanding the Anxious Mind.  I have also written for the Anxiety and Depression Association of America and have been featured/quoted in The Washington Post, HuffPost, The Denver Post, Bustle, Psych Central, and more.

I love my work!  I enjoy treating anxiety and OCD and chose to specialize in this area because therapy for anxiety disorders is very effective, and because I discovered I had a knack for it early on in my doctoral training. My core values as a therapist are effectiveness, integrity, and service.

In my spare time, I hang out with my amazing wife and our 2 kids. I am also an avid skier, restaurant lover, console gamer (Switch and Playstation), and NBA fan (I root for whatever team LeBron is on).

Molly St. Denis, Psy.D

Dr. Molly St. Denis, Psy.D.

I am a therapist specializing in the treatment of adults with anxiety disorders and OCD. I feel very fortunate to be spending my career helping people break free from the suffering that holds them back from living a fulfilling and meaningful life.

In addition to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I have interest and experience utilizing mindfulness-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). As such, my approach to Exposure Therapy is enhanced by incorporating principles of mindfulness and acceptance.

When I’m not doing therapy, you can find me playing with my two dogs, reading memoirs, listening to podcasts, exploring new hole-in-the-wall restaurants with my husband, and spending time outdoors.

Tom Gaus, Psy.D.

Dr. Tom Gaus, Psy.D.

I am a therapist in Denver specializing in treating adults and teens with anxiety and OCD. I am passionate and excited by the work I get to do with my clients. I was lucky enough to train under some amazing clinicians who worked in settings specifically devoted to anxiety and OCD treatment throughout my doctoral training. Through those experiences, I developed a well-rounded understanding of those disorders and discovered my talent in providing anxiety and OCD treatment.

When I’m not working, you can find me fishing, camping, golfing, skiing, listening to music, playing guitar, or searching for Denver’s best beer, wings, pizza, and burgers. I am an avid learner of new skills and hobbies, which I have found are never-ending in Colorado. My wife and I could not be more in love with what this place has to offer.

Dr. Abby Jay

Dr. Abby Jay, Psy.D.

As a therapist, I have specialized in treating anxiety and OCD using Exposure Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I value the opportunity to introduce clients to new and effective ways of living a full and meaningful. I prioritize collaborating with clients in understanding their concerns and finding individualized solutions that meet their needs.

When I’m done in the office, I am likely on the couch with my pup watching some good (or garbage) TV and playing videogames (Playstation only for me). As much as I love our beautiful mountains, you won’t often find me climbing a fourteener or hiking a trail, since I would much rather enjoy seeking out some good food and shopping with friends. I enjoy finding the little moments of rest and relaxation throughout the week, whether that is relaxing in a coffee shop with friends, taking the pup to the dog park, playing board games, or cooking dinner with family.

Victoria Rellas, M.A.

Victoria Rellas, M.A.

I am a child and adult therapist specializing in anxiety and OCD.  My enthusiasm for working with children and teens began during my postgraduate work, but was solidified while working with this population in a residential setting specialized in anxiety and OCD. There, I witnessed how anxiety work and exposure therapy can have a profound transformation on my clients’ lives. I find purpose working with my clients and their families, and in finding their path towards a balanced, fulfilling life.

I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas (Go Cowboys!), but was excited to escape the heat and move to Denver with my chocolate lab. We can be found hiking, fishing, trying new restaurants, or exploring Colorado towns most weekends.

Dr. Tyler Camaione, OCD and anxiety therapist serving Denver, Colorado

Dr. Tyler Camaione, Psy.D.

I choose to work with anxiety and OCD because I want to help people live their lives more fully. I trained at Anxiety Solutions during my graduate training and grew to admire the effort and bravery of my clients working to overcome anxiety and OCD. I enjoy the work so much that I decided to return to Anxiety Solutions and spend my career helping people with anxiety.

I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at the University of Denver, and I completed my postdoctoral fellowship at Anxiety Solutions of Denver.

In my free time, I enjoy pursuing strength training (specifically powerlifting), as I enjoy the personal challenge, achievement, mental toughness, and consistency required to improve. I am the owner of a wonderful chocolate Labrador, named Jake, who has been a constant companion for the last seven years. I am also an avid reader, gamer (both video games and table-top/board games), tennis player, and Baltimore Ravens fan.

Emma Bossier, Doctoral Trainee

Emma Bossier, Doctoral Trainee

I chose to work with anxiety and OCD to help people free themselves from suffering. It’s beautiful to watch my clients reclaim their autonomy and freedom to live full and meaningful lives, and it’s a privilege to get to share this journey with them. I believe that through connection, understanding, and collaboration, treatment is very effective in changing people’s lives for the better.

I was born and raised in New Orleans and moved to Denver for graduate school. Now that I live above sea-level, I take every opportunity to go hiking, skiing, and camping/backpacking in the mountains. The only requirement is that my dog, Finch, can come with me! I also love biking, podcasts, and listening to live music with friends.

Seamus Power, Doctoral Trainee

Seamus Power, Doctoral Trainee

I am a doctoral student at the University of Denver, looking to specialize working with anxiety. I first discovered my interest in psychology during my undergrad when someone close to me began to struggle with his own mental health. Since then, I have been fortunate to study at a few different schools and learn from great mentors in the field. My goal in the therapy room is to develop strong relationships with my clients and work toward alleviating unnecessary suffering.

I moved to Denver in the fall of 2020 and love all the blue sky days. When I am not working, I try to stay active. I’m a part of a Crossfit gym here in Denver and take my dog (Jimmer) to the park or on a walk each day.
